12th Assignment ; My story

.................Here is a short story that how could I join Asiana Airlines. I was born in Jeju, Seogwipo city in 1982. From when I was five years old, I flew to Pusan myself to see my maternal grandmother once or twice a year. At that time, airline staff took good care of me in flight, and I remember dimly that I was impressed by her. May be from that time, I have good feeling about airline industry. In 1998 I started think concretely about airline industry as my profession. Two years later, I chose my major Chinese in college, because I thought it would help when I get a job later. Finally, in 2002, I joined Asiana Airlines as my wish.

10th Assignment ; My hometown

............My hometown is Jeju. Jeju is a wonderful and peaceful place. As you know , Jeju is the biggest island in Korea, and it has several small islands. Jeju is a volcanic island, so you can see unique scenery here and there.The scenery is beautiful beyond description, and if you take pictures anywhere in Jeju it will be art. When you travel there you can see many small mountains everywhere. They called 'Orum', and they were formed after the Hanra Mountain's volcano activity.They are beautiful, not high, so it's easy to climb. Of course, you can see nice beaches and the waves are smooth, so it is great for children. These days, it's very popular to travel by walk or take ride scooters. There is no tafficjam ,and you can drive smoothly anywhere. Jeju has nature in the raw, so you can breathe clean air. These things shows that Jeju is wonderful and peaceful place without doubt.

8th Assignment ; My character

..........................Self help is my motto. I make it rule not to depend on others as much as possible.Whenever I'm in trouble, not really, I try to solve the problem myself. Of course, I ask for advice to my friends, but I don't expect them to help me or solve the problem. I feel more comfortable doing several things myself than with others. For instance, when I going to travel, browsing in shops, hanging out in the streets, and drinking coffee in cafes, but not always. In other words, I am not shy about doing above mentioned things alone, and I think these things make me self reliable person.

11th Assignment: How to cook "Mu-Ssam"

............Ingredients ; one squid, violet radish 350g, 8 eggs, paprika ,combination vinegar (vinegar 7 ts, sugar 5ts, salt 3ts ) , sauce ( mayonnaise 3ts, wasabi 1/4 ts, cider vinegar 1ts, lemon juice)

Here is a good way to cook " Mu-Ssam". First peel a violet radish and slice it in circle.Then preserve sliced radish in combination vinegar for one day.

Second, peel a squid skin with salt and parboil squid in hot water. After then chop up a squid about 7~8 cm. Separate yolk from eggs and fry yolk use square frying pan. Slice fried eggs 5 cm each side and chop up paprika same length with sliced squid.

Finally, put fried eggs, sliced paprika and sliced squid on circle radish and roll up. Dress with sauce according your taste.

9th Assignment ; Jungin's room

............Jungin's room is neat and comfortable.There are two big dark brown closets across from a door. She organized some clothes for last seasons, so she rarely opens these two closets. She
only sleeps or listens to music in her room, that's why her room seldom massy. There's a big window without curtain left side from a door and beside a window there is a bed. She doesn't need to go out from her room when she wants to go bathroom, because there is a bathroom on the right side from a door.It is clear that her room is neat and comfortable.

7th Assignment ; My typical days

..........During the week, my days are very busy, especially every Tuesday and Thursday. I get up at 4 a.m and leave home I usually put on my make up in the bus or taxi, and I get to the airport by 5:40 a.m. Then I change into my uniform and start to check-in from 6:10 a.m. After 9 hours of work, I take a nap for at least 30 minutes in the staff lounge because I feel drowsy that time. After I take a rest, I go to the Asiana Town in Gimpo and take an English Writing class from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. Sometimes I go out with my friend after class but depends on my condition.When I get back home I am tired to death, and I go to bed after midnight. Indeed, my typical days are very busy, but I'm aleady used to this schedule.

6th Assignment ; Jiseon's ways to stay heathy

......Jiseon does several things to stay healty. First of all, she always tries to think positively, so she enjoys her work. She rarely eats junk foods, so she tries to cook at home if possible. She takes exercise at least three times a week. She goes to a health club in A -dong where she usually exercises after work. Finally, she doesn't like drink too much. Normally, she enjoys drinking wine, and she avoid drinking high percentage of alcohol. These examples show that Jiseon tries to several things to stay healty.

5th Assignment ; My hobbies

.....................When I have free time, I like traveling. Even if I have only one day off, I take trips without hesitation. Normally I take trips to Hongkong, Je-ju for a day. Of course I'm exhausted when I get back home, but I feel happy. I can get rid of my stress, and I can get full of vitality through traveling. I try to take trips as much as I can before get marry, because after marriage I will busy as mother and wife.^^ I love reading, and I often go to the bookstore. There, I enjoy reading many kinds of books and drinking coffee for several hours. I can feel sympathy through many kinds of novels and essay. Finally, I like taking care of my nephews and nieces. Taking care of them is not easy, but I really like it. I like kids, and I feel happy when I see their smiles.

3rd Assignment ; My family

................My brother's name is Kyungcheol Hyun. He is 32 years old. He wanted to get married as early as he could, so he married when he was 25 years old. He has one son and one daughter now. Ever since childhood, he dreamt of being a pilot, so he always had enjoyed playing with toy planes. He is a helicopter pilot now, and he works at Gimpo airport. He has a strong sense of responsiblity, and he is a good father. He always tries to spend time with his children, and to help his wife do housework. He likes collecting model planes and assembling toy planes or ships. Many kinds of toys are displayed in his house which he assembled, and he takes care of toys with his whole heart.

2nd Assignment ; My classmate

................My classmate's name is Kyunghee Min. She graduated from Chongnam National University with a degree in Trade Management. She joined Asiana Airlines 11 years ago. She is a manager in the Customer Airlines Service Department,and she works at Incheon Airport now. She married when she was 27 years old. She lives in Gumam with her husband and daughter. She is very interested in movies and dramas.

1st Assignment ; Self Introduction

...........Hi, my name is Jimi Hyun, and I'm 28 years old. I'm a check-in agent for Asiana Airlines and I work at Incheon Airport. Ever since chilhood I wanted to be an airline staff and I achieved my dream. I'm very proud of my achievements and I'm satisfied with my job. I'm from Je-ju but I live in Incheon with my parents now. There are 6 in my family, my parents and 3 siblings. My two older sisters and brother are already married. I have two nephews and two nieces. Taking care of them is my pleasure, so I often visit my sibling's house when I'm free. I usually sleep until noon on my days off and I like hanging out by myself, going to the bookstore and reading books. I enjoy spending time by myself because of my character. I'm extroverted and optimistic but sometimes careless and cold. I don't like people who are pessimistic , so I don't want to mix with such people. Through this writing class, I want to improve my writing skills and I hope it will be a good chance to meet and study with other people.
